Changelog

What’s new in CoachTide.

Every update, newest first, in plain language. Coaches see the same notes inside the app, and the version number here is the one shown in their sidebar. Currently v0.013.

v0.013Latest

Faster pages, in the app and on the public site

A round of speed work. Nothing changes in what you can do; the pages you use most now load with far less code and fewer trips to the database.

  • Improved
GeneralThe client page, sessions, prep, templates, and the dashboard load much lighter: the app no longer sends the whole icon library, the notes editor, the Guide, and the search palette until you need them.
  • Improved
GeneralEvery page in the app checks who you are once per visit instead of several times, and the dashboard and client page gather their information in fewer round trips.
  • Improved
GeneralThe sign-in page and the public site load lighter too, with the big screenshots served as optimized images.
v0.012

Paperwork in the client portal, and follow-ups per client

Onboarding paperwork now lives where your client already signs in, and the automatic follow-up emails can be turned off for one person without touching anyone else.

  • New
Client portalClients now sign the coaching agreement and the communications consent, and fill in the intake form, inside their portal under Forms and agreements.
    More

Each item shows a plain status, so a client can see at a glance what still needs them. Once something is done it becomes a read-only copy of the exact wording they agreed to, with who signed and when, and a button to print it or save it as a PDF. Their overview nudges them while anything is outstanding.

  • Improved
ClientsActivating a client now sends one portal invitation with their paperwork waiting inside, instead of a set of separate document links.
    More

Links you have already sent still work, and the copy-link buttons on the Documents tab are still there as a fallback for a client who cannot use a portal account. If you have customized these emails, your wording is kept.

  • New
ClientsA client's Follow-ups tab now has a switch that turns the automatic post-session follow-up emails off for that one person.
    More

Everything else for them carries on: appointment reminders, reschedule notices, and group messages are untouched. Their own follow-up wording and timing are kept, so turning the switch back on picks up exactly where it left off, and you can still send a follow-up by hand after a confirm that reminds you the switch is off.

  • Fixed
GeneralTwo items in the last note linked back to the What's new page you were already reading; they now read as plain text.
v0.011

CoachTide now has a version number and release notes

From now on, every update comes with a note like this one. You will see it once, on the dashboard, when something worth knowing lands; smaller fixes just light a dot beside What's new in the sidebar.

  • New
GeneralThe sidebar now shows What's new with the version you are on, and a dot when there is an update you have not read yet.
    More

During the beta the version counts up as 0.001, 0.002, and so on. When CoachTide leaves beta it becomes 1.000. The number is the same for everyone and always matches the newest note.

  • New
GeneralA scrollable history of every update lives under What's new, with a More link on any change that deserves a longer explanation.
  • New
GuideAsk the Guide what changed recently, or which version you are on, and it answers from these notes.
  • New
GeneralThe same history is public at coachtide.com/changelog, so you can share it or check it without signing in.
v0.010

Small fixes from a week of daily use

  • Fixed
SettingsReset to defaults on the intake form now asks before it replaces your questions, since that reset saves right away and cannot be undone.
    More

The resets on the session reminder email and the prospect reach-out only change the editor, and now say so: nothing changes there until you click Save.

  • Fixed
ClientsThe Merge clients dialog now shows a fee schedule as a sentence and intake answers as a count with a View answers toggle, instead of raw data.
  • Fixed
BookingA wide logo now shows in full on your public booking page instead of being cropped into a circle.
  • Fixed
AccountSigning out now signs out only that device; your other browsers and your phone stay signed in.
    More

The same applies when a coach account tries the client portal sign-in by mistake: it is turned away without ending your real session somewhere else.

v0.009

Packages, booking embeds, consent, and duplicate clients

A large batch: more freedom in how you price and package your work, a booking calendar you can put on your own site, a consent document for electronic communications, and real tools for the duplicate client records that creep in over time.

  • New
PackagesPackages can have any term or session length: pick Custom and type the months or minutes.
  • New
PackagesA package can be marked pro bono; it enrolls the client with no invoices and shows a Pro bono badge everywhere a price would appear.
    More

Sessions and ICF hours are recorded exactly as before. No invoice is created up front or in installments, so nothing is ever charged for a pro bono package.

  • Improved
PackagesThe price field starts blank, package status is a simple Active or Draft dropdown, and draft packages are clearly marked in the catalog.
  • New
BookingEach booking type can now be embedded on your own website: turn on Embed on your website and copy the snippet.
    More

The embedded calendar sizes itself to fit its spot on your page. The Booking Types form also puts session length and availability right under the name, and the new-booker setting now reads When someone books, add them as, with Active client or a pipeline stage as the choices.

  • New
DocumentsA standalone Electronic Communications Consent document records a client's consent to email, text, in-app messages, and AI-assisted handling of notes, signed electronically.
    More

Send it from the client's Documents tab to anyone on your list, prospect or active client. Signing records their text-message consent for you; Record withdrawal reverses it. Edit the wording, or the request email, in Settings > Templates.

  • New
ClientsAdding a client who looks like someone already on your list now asks first, showing the match and offering to open the existing record instead.
  • New
ClientsTwo client records can be merged: choose which values to keep field by field, and sessions, invoices, messages, and portal access move to the kept record.
    More

Start from Merge with another client on the client page, from the Possible duplicates card on the clients list, or from the banner on a record that looks like a duplicate. A merge is refused when both records have a portal login, so nobody loses access.

  • Improved
BookingA returning client who books with a new email but the same name and phone number is attached to their existing record instead of creating a duplicate.
    More

When the match is not certain, the booking still creates a new record, but it carries a possible-duplicate note with Compare and merge and Not a duplicate one click away.

  • Improved
SecurityEvery password field has a show/hide toggle, including the secret-key fields under Integrations.
  • Fixed
GeneralSmall polish: the highlighted item in the sidebar and phone menu reads clearly in light and dark themes, and the Client data dialog has its spacing back.
v0.008

Protection that reaches the data itself

  • Improved
SecurityOnce you turn on two-factor authentication it now protects your data itself, not only the sign-in, so you may be asked to verify before your workspace loads.
    More

Nothing changes if you have not turned on two-factor. If you have, a session that has not completed the second step sees no workspace data until it does. Turn it on or manage it in Settings > Security.

  • Improved
SecurityYour Google Calendar connection can now be viewed, connected, or disconnected only by someone with the workspace settings permission.
    More

Teammates can still schedule sessions that land on your calendar; they just cannot manage the connection itself.

  • Improved
SecurityFurther behind-the-scenes hardening tightened what any signed-in session is permitted to do with your workspace and account details.
v0.007

A refreshed Guide and stronger protection

  • Improved
GuideThe in-app Guide was checked article by article against the current product: twelve articles were corrected and three were added.
    More

New articles cover refunding a paid invoice, the Feedback board, and the Monday weekly recap email. Corrected ones include getting around, the session prep screen and the Complete this session dialog, shared notes in the client portal, automations, weekly availability for booking, and website buttons.

  • Improved
SecurityProtection around your workspace improved in several places; the one you might notice is that a teammate now needs the workspace settings or billing permission to see your Stripe or PayPal connection details.
v0.006

Invite a teammate

The most requested thing from the beta: someone else working in your workspace at the same time, with their own sign-in and only the areas you choose.

  • New
TeamYou can now invite up to five teammates to work in your workspace, each with their own sign-in.
    More

Invite by name and email from Settings > Team (owner only). A teammate gets the day-to-day tools by default: clients, pipeline, sessions, prep, notes, packages, and programs. Removing a teammate stops their sign-in immediately.

  • New
TeamYou choose what each teammate can reach: invoicing and payments, outreach, the website editor, workspace settings, and data import and export are each a checkbox.
  • Improved
TeamA teammate without the invoicing and payments permission does not see money: the client Billing tab, dashboard totals, and amounts owing are hidden for them.
  • New
TeamOwners get a Recent activity record of what happened in the workspace and who did it, such as exports, invoicing actions, permission changes, and client deletions.
  • New
ClientsClients can carry an optional title or role, shown beside their name on the list and the client page and matched by search.
  • Improved
GuideThe Guide can now answer questions about inviting teammates and client titles.
v0.005

Prep page fixes and settings clean-up

  • Fixed
SessionsThe session prep page no longer squeezes its panels on a short window; the layout keeps a sensible minimum height and the page scrolls instead.
  • Fixed
SessionsThe coaching nudge on the prep page now spans the full width and always fits on one line, so the rows below it stay put while it rotates.
  • Fixed
SettingsA setting you never filled in now falls back to the default instead of showing up blank in client emails and on invoices.
    More

Older saves could store an empty company name, due terms, or hourly rate. Those now read as Your Coach, On Receipt, and your default rate. A greeting you cleared on purpose stays cleared.

  • Fixed
InvoicesDaily overdue-invoice reminders and your morning digest run again for workspaces that had never picked a timezone.
  • Improved
SettingsAutosave on Settings > General is lighter and quicker, so typing feels more responsive.
v0.004

Settings that save themselves, and website buttons you control

  • New
SettingsSettings > General now saves itself as you type, so there are no Save buttons to scroll past and forget.
    More

Edits are written a moment after you stop typing, or the instant you leave a field or make a pick. A quiet Saving and Saved note in each section header tells you where things stand, and an edit still in flight is written when you close the tab.

  • Improved
SettingsIf a setting cannot be saved, the reason appears right beside the field that caused it rather than off-screen at the top.
  • New
WebsiteEvery section of your website can carry buttons you add, remove, reorder, relabel, and point wherever you like.
    More

Each button can open your booking page, jump to a section of the site, go to a web address, or start an email. A new button arrives as a working Book a call button, the editor warns you if nothing on the site reaches your booking page, and existing sites keep their current buttons exactly as they were.

v0.003

New articles on the blog

  • Improved
GeneralThe CoachTide blog at coachtide.com/blog can now publish new articles at any time, so there is more to read between app updates.
v0.002

Honest beta status on your Account page

  • Improved
AccountAccount & Billing now says plainly that you are on the free private beta, with no trial end date.
    More

Earlier the page showed a trial end date that never applied to anyone. When the beta ends, you start a free 30-day trial before any payment is due.

  • Improved
AccountThe free trial is 30 days everywhere, matching what the website has always promised.
  • Fixed
GeneralText links across the product are styled consistently, so a link looks like a link wherever it appears.
v0.001

Welcome emails, a clearer Meet setup, and a calmer dashboard

The first numbered release. From here on, every batch of changes you can see gets a note like this one.

  • New
EmailsWhen you request beta access, you now get an email right away confirming we received your request.
    More

It is a confirmation, not an approval. Each request still gets a personal look, and you hear back once it has been reviewed.

  • New
EmailsA welcome email series that walks new coaches through one feature at a time is built and waiting on a final check before it starts going out.
    More

Twelve short emails, each about one thing the practice can now do for you, paced to your own progress: a step you have already set up is skipped rather than sent. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.

  • Improved
SettingsSettings > Conferencing now links straight to Integrations when Google Meet needs a calendar connection first.
  • Improved
DashboardDashboard numbers now show their final value at once instead of counting up when the page loads.
